Project Power: Frank

I had a chance to art direct All the powers which the characters would develop when taking the power pill (all except for Art's power at the end), which was an amazing experience. Here's a development piece working out Frank's power for the Netflix original Project: Power, in the iconic shot where he's shot in the face but comes away unharmed. Frank's power was largely based on Newtonian Fluids, in how a gooey substance would completely harden upon impact, and give off a tremendous amount of heat in the absorption process. The most prominent aspect of working on this film creatively was the amount of scientific research involved and trying to ground what would normally be classed as "superhero" powers.
